Graduating from our Toddler room into the Preschool room, involves a smooth transition after developing all the important skills within the Toddler Room. Our Preschool Program allows for a balance of both play and early learning. Many activities that follow throughout the day, allow children to use many skills from our Toddler Program to a more advanced approach of learning. Our speciality lies in early reading, phonics, printing, math and hands on activities that allow educators to work one-on-one with each child to develop phonemic awareness and build early learning skills. Using our own simplified and individualized systematic phonics approach to reading, our students are often reading short words and sentences within their first year at Laurel.
Our Preschool classroom includes:

Our Preschool Curriculum is designed to be an interactive experience between the classroom, the teacher and the children. Each child’s day is structured around our core concepts including health and physical development, language and literacy, creative arts, mathematics, social /emotional development, science and engineering, and social studies. Our certified educators work individually with each child, supporting each child for a smooth transition into the classroom, and implement developmentally appropriate activities that engage children within a stimulating environment.
